School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive elementary school team near Dalton, Georgia. This school-based position offers a structured work schedule, a dedicated therapy space, and the opportunity to work with students during critical stages of speech and language development.
The SLP will primarily serve students in grades 1–3 with a caseload of approximately 60+ students, focusing largely on articulation therapy while also supporting students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.
Position Details:
• Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
• School-day schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Elementary school setting
• Approximately 60+ students on caseload
• Majority of students present with articulation needs
• Experience working with AAC devices and communication systems
• Dedicated speech therapy room
• Therapy materials and resources provided
• Collaborative special education and educational support team
Responsibilities:
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and screenings
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and communication disorders
• Utilize AAC devices and assistive communication technology as needed
• Maintain documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Partner with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a school-based caseload and maintain documentation
