Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid SLP license in the state of Connecticut
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but strong new graduates with CCC will be considered
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing evidence-based interventions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments as part of the special education team
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with identified needs
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services—both individually and in group settings
- Maintain accurate, legal documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service professionals to maximize student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school activities as appropriate
