Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure for Connecticut or eligibility for state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Passion for working with school-aged children and collaborates effectively with educators, parents, and support teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support students’ educational goals and ensure IEP compliance
- Write thorough evaluations and progress reports, maintaining accurate records
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as a key member of the student support team
- Communicate with families to provide updates on progress and offer resources as needed
