Make a meaningful impact in the academic and personal development of K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Two positions are currently available, with immediate openings through June 2027. Potential placements span a range of locations, with a special focus on the Flint, Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with school teams and support students’ communication needs in a dynamic educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, valid Michigan SLP license required (CFYs must have temporary license)
- CCC preferred; strong CFYs considered, especially those with an established supervisor
- Experience in school-based SLP services (K-12)
- Demonstrated ability to work with children from diverse urban backgrounds, particularly understanding their unique challenges and identifying relevant resources
- Ability to provide a copy of official university transcripts before proceeding in the hiring process
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload, supporting students’ growth and academic achievement
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators and families to ensure students receive the resources and support they need
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Attend professional development as needed to stay current on best practices
