Make a difference every day supporting students with hearing loss in a dedicated day school program for the Deaf. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and passionate about serving students with diverse communication needs.
In this role, you'll provide services across three campuses, working with a caseload of up to 60 students ranging from PreK 3 through 12th grade. The students all have some degree of hearing loss, making ASL proficiency essential to facilitate effective communication, assessment, and therapy. You'll interact with a talented, collaborative team of educators dedicated to helping every child achieve their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license with CCC or eligibility for CFY supervision
- ASL fluency required
- Experience with school-aged populations (PreK–12 preferred)
- Skilled in evaluation, IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapeutic intervention
- Ability to work across multiple campuses and adapt to diverse student needs
- Commitment to culturally sensitive, student-centered practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to students, tailored to their unique needs
- Utilize ASL daily for direct services, collaboration, and team meetings
- Develop and implement IEPs, maintain accurate documentation, and report on student outcomes
- Consult with teachers, interpreters, and families to support student success in the classroom
- Travel between three designated district campuses
