Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Current state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFY candidates are also encouraged
- Experience working with school-aged children (Preschool through High School)
- Strong understanding of IEP process, speech therapy interventions, and progress documentation
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Comfortable providing both individual and group therapy sessions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear insights on student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and local requirements
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide ongoing support and education to staff and families regarding students’ speech and language needs
