Help shape students’ communication skills and confidence by providing essential speech and language services in a dynamic K-12 environment for the upcoming academic year. As a school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) near Dearborn, MI, you’ll play a vital part in helping students overcome communication challenges and reach their full learning potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid Michigan SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings, specifically with K-12 students
- Ability and willingness to work onsite throughout the duration of the contract (no virtual options)
- Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students with speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and best practices
- Work closely with educators and families to support student success in and out of the classroom
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards
- Provide direct and consultative services to students and staff as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to ensure comprehensive support
