Step into an engaging and rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting young learners in a full-time, in-person setting. This assignment begins August 24th and extends through Thanksgiving, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact during a pivotal part of the school year.
You will work with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, focusing on children birth to 5 years old. In addition, you’ll support pre-school through 3rd grade students across two non-public schools, providing essential speech and language interventions that set a foundation for lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Relevant experience working with pediatric or early childhood populations
- Ability to provide therapy, conduct assessments, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, teachers, and team members
- Michigan SLP licensure (or eligible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned caseload in person
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and document progress for students ages birth-5, with an additional focus on pre-K to 3rd grade
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child’s specific needs
- Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and external providers to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise in evaluation and intervention strategies
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school requirements
