Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with communication needs in a school-based setting near Dearborn, MI. This position involves providing specialized services for children and adolescents ages kindergarten through 15 years old. Your schedule will be 37.5 hours each week, beginning September 8th and extending through February 1st, with the potential for the assignment to continue for the full academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of a current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience working with children across K–15 years of age preferred
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and IEP development
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, communication, and social skills using a variety of evaluation tools
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy interventions and goals in collaboration with educators and families
  • Write and update progress notes, contribute to IEP meetings, and ensure documentation compliance
  • Support inclusive practices by consulting with teachers and participating in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and staff about communication disorders
