Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Valid SLP license in Michigan (or eligibility)
- CCC-SLP certification highly preferred, but candidates in CFY will also be considered
- Strong knowledge of interventions for students on the autism spectrum
- Outstanding communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting elementary-level learners and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
In this important role, you will:
- Complete comprehensive assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and set goals for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Provide direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy into the school day
- Maintain detailed progress notes and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings
- Offer consultative support and classroom strategies to maximize student success and inclusion
