Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 learners with speech-language needs for the upcoming academic year. This onsite SLP position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on students in a collaborative, supportive educational environment. You’ll work a dedicated weekday schedule, serving elementary and middle school students in one—occasionally two—schools, managing a caseload of approximately 60 children.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about fostering student growth, comfortable navigating diverse speech and language needs, and prepared to supervise Clinical Fellows if ASHA CCCs are held. A willingness to support both elementary and middle grades is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license from ASHA for Alabama
  • Active professional educator license for Alabama
  • Ability to supervise Clinical Fellows (if applicable)
  • Open to working with a caseload of around 60, across one or two schools
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators and families
  • New graduates eligible; supervision available for CFs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver therapy services according to IEPs, tailoring interventions to each student
  • Document progress and maintain thorough, timely records
  • Liaise with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
  • Provide supervision and support for Clinical Fellows, if CCCs held
