Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Alabama ASHA Certificate
• Possess an Alabama Educator SLP Certificate (or eligible to start with pending status; can verify status online)
• Completion of a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC credentials required; SLPAs are not eligible
• Experience in school-based therapy and evaluation preferred
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy and conduct speech-language evaluations for a diverse elementary caseload
• Provide support and intervention strategies tailored to student IEP goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and assessment outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
• Manage a caseload not exceeding 60 students, ensuring quality individualized services
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to optimize educational planning
• Remain compliant with all local and state regulations relating to school-based SLP practice
