Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Possession of or eligibility for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or strong clinical fellowship year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Valid state licensure or ability to obtain state certification for school-based SLP practice in Georgia
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic educational environments
- Effective communicator with students, educators, parents, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and related therapy interventions
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions—both one-on-one and in small group settings—addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, contributing to IEP meetings as a collaborative member
- Provide coaching and resources to teachers and families to support carryover of skills in the classroom and at home
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
