Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi
  • Holds or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience serving school-aged children—either through previous placements or internships
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Collaborative, positive approach to working as part of an interdisciplinary team

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students with varying needs, per individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to IEP development and review
  • Consult regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of services
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of progress, therapy sessions, and communication
  • Participate in student evaluation meetings and school team planning
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and educational settings
