Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school environment, beginning August 2026 through June 2027. This role focuses on providing dedicated Speech-Language Pathology services to a caseload of 40-50 PreK3 to 3rd grade students with mild to moderate disabilities, in both small group and one-on-one settings. You'll work alongside another collaborative SLP, ensuring students receive quality support within school-day hours.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Maryland Department of Health Certification
- Current SLP-CCC credentials
- Experience with school-based therapy, especially for students in early childhood and elementary grades
- Strong skills in delivering individualized and small group intervention
- Ability to collaborate confidently with educators, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering communication development in students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to all students needing speech and language support
- Develop and implement individual and small group treatment plans
- Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP creation, and family consultations
- Partner with another on-site SLP for shared caseload responsibilities
- Communicate educational strategies and student progress with school teams
Assignment Details:
- Contract position from 8/24/26 to 6/30/27
- 35 hours per week; Monday through Friday
- Standard workday: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Caseload: 40-50 students, with a focus on PreK3 through 3rd grade
