Speech Language Pathologist in Delmar, MD

Step into a rewarding role serving young learners as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, making a meaningful impact within a school environment near Delmar, MD. This contract position spans from August 24, 2026, through June 30, 2027, offering a fulfilling opportunity to guide students from PreK3 through 3rd grade as they develop vital communication skills. Collaborate closely with another SLP to manage a caseload of 40–50 students, working with small groups and one-on-one in a supportive setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
• Valid Maryland Department of Health Certification
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Comfortable working with children with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Engage with students primarily in small groups and one-on-one sessions, adapting techniques to each child’s needs
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized therapy plans, tracking student progress
• Write clear, thorough documentation and reports for each student’s file
• Partner with educators, caregivers, and fellow specialists to foster a supportive, inclusive environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, ensuring a balanced workday and time to engage fully with students and colleagues.
