Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 6–8 as a Speech Language Pathologist. Your expertise will help shape communication and educational outcomes for a dedicated caseload at a single campus location. This school-based role is on-site and covers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, running from ASAP through late May 2027.
This position requires a specialist who thrives with middle school learners and can manage a caseload of 60–65 students. You will have the opportunity to foster relationships with engaged educators and experienced support staff—all while making a real and lasting impact on students’ lives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid FL State License to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field
- School-based experience working with adolescents preferred
- Ability to complete background check, fingerprinting, and district-specific credentialing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy services to middle school students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain and document progress reports, service logs, and compliance paperwork
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and multi-disciplinary planning as needed
