Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students with speech and language needs in a dynamic school environment near Denton, MD. This onsite position begins as soon as possible and extends through the 2026/27 school year, offering a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week—typical day starts between 7:00-7:30am and wraps up by 2:30-3:00pm.

Your expertise will shape individualized therapy programs and collaborate closely with educators and families to foster student success. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop IEPs, and provide guidance to both staff and parents on best practices for students with speech, voice, and language disabilities.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Eligible for (or holding) state licensure for speech therapy in educational settings
  • Demonstrated experience providing speech and language services onsite in schools
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention development, and progress documentation
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams and consulting with educational staff
  • Experience creating and implementing IEPs and maintaining compliance with all special education regulations
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners and their families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver effective speech and language therapy to individual students
  • Support and advise teachers in identifying and referring students with communication needs
  • Complete ongoing assessments and maintain thorough records in accordance with special education policies
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate classroom modifications
  • Communicate with parents and families regarding student progress and recommended interventions
  • Provide staff inservice education as required
