The contract position offers full-time hours in a K-12 setting where you'll support an inclusive district known for its teamwork and commitment to student growth.
You'll manage a spot fill caseload with a mix of settings: self-contained high school students with moderate to severe needs, as well as itinerant assignments across multiple school sites. This role is exclusively onsite, providing you with meaningful daily interactions and the ability to build rapport with staff, students, and families.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active SLP license for the state of Maryland
- Previous experience working in Maryland schools is highly preferred
- Proven expertise supporting K-12 students, particularly in special education settings
- Adaptability for traveling between school sites
- Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students with varying needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to ensure holistic student support
- Provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for assigned caseload
- Maintain thorough records and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
