Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a school-based speech-language pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract assignment offers the chance to help children develop life-changing communication skills and participate in a collaborative school environment. You will be instrumental in guiding students to success, working closely with dedicated educators and special education teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NCDPI SLP license (documentation required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school-based SLP role
  • Familiarity with ECATS for documentation and reporting
  • Experience participating in or leading IEP meetings
  • Strong ability to conduct speech-language evaluations and interpret results

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, in-person speech therapy services to students, in accordance with IEPs
  • Complete assessments, evaluations, and screenings as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in speech and language development
  • Draft present levels of performance and develop measurable annual goals
  • Maintain accurate records and service logs per state and district requirements
  • Manage a manageable caseload (currently at 39 students, with a maximum of 50)
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support overall student success
