This full-time contract assignment offers the chance to help children develop life-changing communication skills and participate in a collaborative school environment. You will be instrumental in guiding students to success, working closely with dedicated educators and special education teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NCDPI SLP license (documentation required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role
- Familiarity with ECATS for documentation and reporting
- Experience participating in or leading IEP meetings
- Strong ability to conduct speech-language evaluations and interpret results
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person speech therapy services to students, in accordance with IEPs
- Complete assessments, evaluations, and screenings as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in speech and language development
- Draft present levels of performance and develop measurable annual goals
- Maintain accurate records and service logs per state and district requirements
- Manage a manageable caseload (currently at 39 students, with a maximum of 50)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support overall student success
