Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Background in school-based settings, with knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements
  • Strong ability to conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educators
  • Organizational skills and adaptability in a changing school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and inform educational planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Document interventions, progress notes, and assessments in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and evaluations
  • Offer consultative support and resources to staff and families
  • Help create an inclusive, positive learning space for all students
