Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Background in school-based settings, with knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements
- Strong ability to conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educators
- Organizational skills and adaptability in a changing school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and inform educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Document interventions, progress notes, and assessments in compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and evaluations
- Offer consultative support and resources to staff and families
- Help create an inclusive, positive learning space for all students
