Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Denton, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as required
• Demonstrated experience providing pediatric and school-based speech-language services
• Advanced understanding of IEPs, 504 Plans, and school documentation requirements
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in 504 plans, both individually and in small group settings
• Assess, diagnose, and monitor students with communication, speech, and language challenges
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement targeted, effective intervention strategies
• Maintain precise and timely documentation, including progress reports and compliance records
• Attend and actively participate in 504 meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive school culture through positive, proactive engagement with students, staff, and families
