Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working with school-aged populations in elementary, middle, or high schools
- Ability to develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
- Comfort working with diverse student populations and adapting to various school environments
- Commitment to ethical, effective interventions and positive student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for speech-language concerns
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and targeted therapy plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual or group settings
- Consult and collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate and support staff and families on communication strategies to enhance student success
- Travel between school sites as needed to provide services across age groups
