A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado, serving K-8 students with mild to severe needs. This role is based at a school specializing in moderate to severe center-based classrooms, working with approximately 15 moderate to severe students and 25 mild to moderate students. The position offers experience with a diverse student population and the opportunity to provide comprehensive speech services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services.
- Maintain service notes and related documentation.
- Act as case manager for students who receive speech services exclusively on their IEP.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Eligibility or active status for Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure (candidates must disclose status or progress in the licensure process).
- Candidates currently completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) are eligible; supervision is provided.
- Experience or interest in working with mild to severe special needs students.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Location and Work Environment:
- Position located in Thornton, CO within a smaller district known for a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
- The district consists of 16 sites serving about 7,000 students.
- Interview process includes an initial screening call followed by a panel interview, with flexibility for remote participation.
