School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Derby, Connecticut

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a growing Pre-K program on a contract-to-hire basis, just outside the Derby, CT area. Use your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to help young learners build a strong foundation for success.

Your week will be thoughtfully balanced at 2.5 days, managing a currently manageable caseload of 14 students, with more to come as the program flourishes. You'll play a hands-on role in conducting assessments, contributing professional insight during PPT meetings, and prioritizing the needs of these vibrant early learners. Commitment to making up any compensatory time ensures students never miss the expert support they deserve.

Qualifications:

• SLP - CCC credential required
• Prior school-based or pediatric experience highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to perform speech and language evaluations
• Flexibility to contribute as caseloads expand
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and best practices

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to Pre-K students
• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify areas of need
• Participate actively in PPT meetings to develop and review IEPs
• Document services and maintain student records accurately
• Provide make-up therapy sessions as needed for compensatory time
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families
