This full-time, in-person contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in multiple school settings serving diverse communities.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-8 age groups
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, essential for effective communication with students and families
- Ability to manage caseloads across different school locations when necessary
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Location:
- Primary locations include PreK-8 schools at 3131 Sheridan Road (Great Lakes), 1811 Morrow Ave (North Chicago), and 1200 W. Glen Flora Ave (Waukegan)
- The network services various cities throughout Chicago up to North Chicago, with all work performed in person
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and provide therapy services tailored to students' needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing training within the school network
