A dynamic opportunity is available for a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) proficient in Spanish, dedicated to supporting PreK-8 students within a charter school network spanning the Chicago area, including Des Plaines, Great Lakes, North Chicago, and Waukegan, IL. This full-time, in-person contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in multiple school settings serving diverse communities.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-8 age groups
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, essential for effective communication with students and families
  • Ability to manage caseloads across different school locations when necessary
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Location:

  • Primary locations include PreK-8 schools at 3131 Sheridan Road (Great Lakes), 1811 Morrow Ave (North Chicago), and 1200 W. Glen Flora Ave (Waukegan)
  • The network services various cities throughout Chicago up to North Chicago, with all work performed in person

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and provide therapy services tailored to students' needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing training within the school network
