This contract position begins August 18, 2026, and continues through June 2, 2027, providing a chance to make a significant impact throughout the academic year. You’ll work full time, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:00pm, collaborating with a dedicated educational team and supporting students with complex needs.
Utilize your skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist to help students communicate, thrive, and prepare for life after school. Your background in both assistive technology and working with students with multifaceted communication needs will be invaluable in this role.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP
- Experience providing services to high school and transitioning students
- Demonstrated ability to implement and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) or assistive technology
- Previous work with students who have complex needs is highly desirable
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to high school through transition-aged students
- Assess and support students using a range of assistive technology and individualized communication strategies
- Develop IEP goals and work closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Document progress and participate in team meetings to monitor and adapt services
- Provide recommendations and training on AAC systems as needed
