Bring your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist to a dynamic education setting near Des Plaines, IL! This full-time, on-site contract opportunity runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027 and is suited for compassionate, bilingual (Spanish & English) SLP-CCC professionals who are dedicated to helping students achieve communication success. As an itinerant SLP, you’ll support students across two school sites within a well-respected district, collaborating closely with faculty and families to create inclusive, supportive learning environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement and a valid IL SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders across diverse age groups.
- Manage an average caseload of 45 students, following a workload model supported by the district and in compliance with state regulations.
- Travel between two school sites, adapting services to the needs of each community.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation in accordance with district guidelines.
- Engage with families and educational staff to support student progress.
