Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid SLP license for Illinois, or eligible to obtain
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or pursuing completion of CFY
• Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote instructional tools
• Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for diverse student needs
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with students, families, and school staff

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Design and deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy for individuals or small groups
• Document progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and IEP development
• Consult with teachers and provide in-service training or resources to support classroom integration
• Leverage teletherapy strategies to reach and engage remote learners, as needed
