A contract position is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide essential support during a maternity leave coverage. This assignment begins September 4, 2026, and continues through December 11, 2026, with standard school hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work onsite in a collaborative school environment supporting elementary and middle school students.

What you bring to the role:

  • Active and current Speech Language Pathologist license for Illinois
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Experience in school-based SLP services, preferably at both elementary and middle school levels
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Dedication to fostering student growth and supporting diverse learning needs
  • Ability to work onsite for the full contract duration

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students on your caseload
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
  • Provide consultative and support services to staff and parents as needed
