School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Detroit, Michigan

Make a difference supporting students in middle and high school environments by providing speech-language pathology services on a contract basis. You’ll deliver targeted interventions, collaborate with educators and families, and help students build effective communication skills critical to their academic and social development.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Previous experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based service delivery
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in middle and high school
• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with educators, counselors, and parents
• Adapt therapy plans and interventions to meet the unique needs of students
• Address a variety of speech, language, and social communication challenges in an inclusive manner

This contract role offers a part-time schedule of three days per week, with an immediate start and the potential for ongoing assignment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with school staff and families, all while advancing your professional skills and making a genuine impact.
