Make a difference in the lives of young learners by supporting PreK and elementary students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant school setting near Detroit, MI. This contract opportunity provides the chance to work alongside a supportive team and focus on helping children develop their communication skills at a crucial stage in their education. Currently, four SLPs are needed to serve across multiple classrooms and student needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with PreK and elementary populations
  • Familiarity with ABI (Applied Behavior Intervention) and VBD (Verbal Behavior Development) approaches preferred
  • Collaborative attitude and the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to PreK and elementary-aged students under Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring to track student growth
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Integrate evidence-based practices and adapt interventions to meet each child's needs
