Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Experience working with PreK and elementary students (preferred)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention tools, specifically Abi VBD
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
- Capacity to work effectively as part of a collaborative team (4 SLPs)
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and elementary students, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student progress
- Document student performance, maintain accurate records, and assist in developing IEP goals
- Employ Abi VBD strategies when appropriate to support student communication and behavior
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
- Serve as a resource to both staff and families, ensuring continuity of care
