Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
  • Experience working with PreK and elementary students (preferred)
  • Familiarity with behavior intervention tools, specifically Abi VBD
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a collaborative team (4 SLPs)
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and elementary students, utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student progress
  • Document student performance, maintain accurate records, and assist in developing IEP goals
  • Employ Abi VBD strategies when appropriate to support student communication and behavior
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
  • Serve as a resource to both staff and families, ensuring continuity of care
