Speech Language Pathologist in Detroit, MI

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Michigan
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
• Experience working with PreK and elementary school-aged children
• Strong assessment, written, and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with ABLLS, VB-MAPP, or experience working with ABI VBD preferred
• Collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-assessments for students ages PreK through elementary
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans addressing a variety of speech and language challenges
• Work with ABI VBD as needed, incorporating best practices for students with autism or behavioral needs
• Provide direct and consultative services within classrooms and specialized settings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with district and state requirements
