Apply NowA full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the remainder of the school year in the Detroit, MI area, serving a K-12 educational setting. This contract position focuses on providing high-quality speech and language therapy to students across various grade levels within the school system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student outcomes and adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing recommendations for speech and language goals.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in speech-language pathology.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and compliance with educational regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
