Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary students with speech and language needs in a vibrant educational setting near Detroit, Michigan. This position is ideal for enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists seeking experience in traditional school-based roles. You’ll work with kindergarten through fifth-grade students, managing a caseload of approximately 45–55 learners in collaboration with dedicated staff and supportive administration.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
  • Eligibility for Michigan state licensure
  • Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in elementary school settings, preferred
  • Strong foundation in therapy planning, assessment, and data collection for students K-5
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language and communication assessments for K–5 students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
  • Provide both direct intervention and consultative services, adapting approaches to meet diverse learner needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student progress
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation regarding student performance and goals
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required

Contract Details:

  • Traditional school schedule; elementary hours: 8:50 a.m.–4:10 p.m.
  • Responsible for a manageable caseload of 45–55 students
