This position is ideal for enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists seeking experience in traditional school-based roles. You’ll work with kindergarten through fifth-grade students, managing a caseload of approximately 45–55 learners in collaboration with dedicated staff and supportive administration.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Eligibility for Michigan state licensure
- Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in elementary school settings, preferred
- Strong foundation in therapy planning, assessment, and data collection for students K-5
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language and communication assessments for K–5 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
- Provide both direct intervention and consultative services, adapting approaches to meet diverse learner needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student progress
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation regarding student performance and goals
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required
Contract Details:
- Traditional school schedule; elementary hours: 8:50 a.m.–4:10 p.m.
- Responsible for a manageable caseload of 45–55 students
