A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to cover a maternity leave at a school setting in Detroit, MI. This is a contract position starting June 1st and ending at the conclusion of November. Candidates with certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), including those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), are encouraged to apply. There is also flexibility for candidates interested in working only during the Extended School Year (ESY) period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and treatment sessions.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for school settings.
  • Experience working with school-aged children in speech-language pathology.
  • Strong understanding of school-based therapy regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to cover the maternity leave period with possible ESY-only availability.

Location: Detroit, MI – work within a local school environment.
