Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting school-aged students in the Detroit, MI area. This full-time opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027. Working Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), you’ll make a meaningful impact on learners’ communication skills and academic growth.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Current or eligible state licensure for speech-language pathology
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Proficient with assessment tools, IEP documentation, and therapy interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for students as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in alignment with students’ needs
  • Provide targeted therapy services in both group and individual settings to address articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Partner closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Engage in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations on student programming
