Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Detroit, MI

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students in an ASD setting near Detroit, MI. This contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who thrive working onsite and prefer a school-based environment. You'll collaborate with an engaged team to provide essential speech and language services throughout the 2026–2027 school year (exact dates to be finalized). Each professional will serve a manageable caseload of 40–55 students, ensuring focused, individualized care.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, active SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is mandatory
• At least one year of experience in a school setting or with school-aged children preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a plus
• Must be able to work onsite; teletherapy is not an option for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students with ASD
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Offer guidance and resources to classroom staff to improve communication strategies
