Grades 9 - 12 Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Detroit, MI

Make a difference in the lives of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels by providing speech-language therapy services. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to collaborate with dedicated educators and help students develop essential communication skills.

Your expertise will support students in grades K–12, assessing needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering engaging therapy that inspires progress. You will serve as a valued resource for faculty and families, ensuring every student receives the support necessary for successful participation in their academic journey.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents, preferably across K–12 settings
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Effective communicator with students, staff, and caregivers
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide range of student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations for students referred for speech and language concerns
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with student goals
• Deliver direct therapy sessions individually or in small groups within school environments
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress and integrate strategies in the classroom
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary meetings as a valued team member
