Your expertise will support students in grades K–12, assessing needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering engaging therapy that inspires progress. You will serve as a valued resource for faculty and families, ensuring every student receives the support necessary for successful participation in their academic journey.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents, preferably across K–12 settings
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and caregivers
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide range of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students referred for speech and language concerns
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with student goals
- Deliver direct therapy sessions individually or in small groups within school environments
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress and integrate strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary meetings as a valued team member
