As a full-time SLP, your role will focus on conducting and participating in ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings) and performing comprehensive speech-language evaluations. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license for Texas, or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) encouraged, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, though not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
  • Familiarity with conducting ARDs and speech-language evaluations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and contribute to ARDs, ensuring student goals are appropriate and measurable
  • Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations
  • Develop, document, and implement IEPs in coordination with educational teams and families
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ communication needs within the school environment
