A school near Dixon, IL is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC credentials to provide coverage for a maternity leave from August 12, 2026, through November 6, 2026. This full-time position focuses on working with 2nd and 3rd graders, all located within a single building, ensuring continuity of care and collaboration.

Your primary caseload will consist of 40 elementary students, with a variety of needs including those requiring AAC device support. You'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact by helping students build communication skills that serve them far beyond the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois PEL and SLP-CCC license required
  • Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Experience supporting augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is valuable
  • Strong collaborative and organizational skills to coordinate with educators and families
  • Responsive, compassionate approach to serving elementary-aged students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 2nd and 3rd graders
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated support
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
  • Support AAC device users, providing training and adjustments as needed
