In this full-time, school-based role, you’ll cover a maternity leave from August 12, 2026 to November 6, 2026. Serving 2nd and 3rd grade students—all in the same building—allows focused engagement and the opportunity to hone your skills supporting a manageable caseload of 40 students, including those using AAC devices. Exposure to varied school practices and leadership methods will strengthen your expertise, making a meaningful impact on your resume and career trajectory.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Illinois SLP-CCC license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) for IL
  • Skilled with school-based SLP duties, including AAC device use
  • Growth mindset and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and evaluation for 2nd and 3rd grade students
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication goals
  • Address AAC device needs as part of individualized education plans
  • Maintain thorough, compliant documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist with caseload management
