This contract opportunity involves working 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within the hours of 8:30am-2:30pm. The assignment spans from March 1, 2026, to June 1, 2026, supporting students aged 12-21. Flexibility regarding teletherapy or a hybrid work arrangement may be available.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience providing services in a school setting, particularly to grades K-12
- Strong background working with resistant or reluctant youth
- Ability to deliver individualized, IEP-mandated speech and language interventions
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Competency with documentation and progress monitoring, including electronic records
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver IEP-directed speech and language therapy services for students across grade levels
- Assess communication needs and document recommended interventions
- Develop and update student IEP goals in collaboration with school teams
- Monitor and track student progress, providing clear data and input for meetings
- Engage students and foster participation, with special attention to those who may be resistant to services
- Communicate regularly and compassionately with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere
- Adapt to teletherapy or hybrid instruction, as needed
