K-5 Grades 6 - 8 School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Dobbs Ferry, New York

This contract position offers a flexible schedule of 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm. The assignment runs from March 1, 2026, to June 1, 2026, and serves students across elementary, middle, and high school grades.

Your expertise will make a meaningful difference as you provide required speech and language services to a diverse student body, including those who may be resistant to therapy. The opportunity is open to qualified professionals interested in either in-person, teletherapy, or possibly a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active NY state Speech-Language Pathologist certification and license (required)
• Documented experience working effectively with resistant youth and adolescents
• Previous experience delivering speech-language services in a school setting, including writing and implementing IEPs
• Knowledgeable in supporting students with a variety of communication needs across grades K-12
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with digital platforms for teletherapy, if applicable

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consult-based IEP-mandated speech-language therapy
• Assess, develop, and document individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
• Track student performance and maintain accurate records following all compliance guidelines
• Adjust activities and strategies to engage students who may exhibit resistance
