This contract position offers a balanced schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm—for a total of 25 to 30 hours weekly, covering a variety of grade levels (K–12). You’ll work collaboratively in a supportive environment, providing essential IEP-mandated services to school-aged youth. With flexibility for onsite, hybrid, or possibly teletherapy arrangements, this role accommodates your professional needs and preferences.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York
  • Certification required for service in schools
  • Demonstrated success supporting resistant or at-risk youth
  • Experience across grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively manage caseload and timelines within a school setting

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students ages 12–21 in accordance with IEP requirements
  • Develop, implement, and update student IEPs in partnership with the special education team
  • Utilize a variety of therapy techniques tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain thorough records and progress notes for each student
  • Foster positive, therapeutic relationships with students exhibiting resistance
  • Adapt services for multiple modalities—onsite, hybrid, or teletherapy
