School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Douglas City, California

Step into a vital role supporting students from PreK through 8th grade as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting. This full-time, in-person contract position provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication and academic success of children across multiple age groups.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Valid California SLP credential
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• A few years of prior experience working in school-based environments
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning PreK to 8th grade
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities to keep documentation and progress tracking up to date

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs
• Conduct evaluations and assessments in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress and participation
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress, attendance, and service delivery
• Offer consultation and support to educational teams regarding communication strategies and interventions
