This full-time, in-person contract position provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication and academic success of children across multiple age groups.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Valid California SLP credential
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- A few years of prior experience working in school-based environments
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning PreK to 8th grade
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities to keep documentation and progress tracking up to date
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress and participation
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress, attendance, and service delivery
- Offer consultation and support to educational teams regarding communication strategies and interventions
