Apply NowExciting contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in school-based therapy near Downingtown, PA! We are seeking a skilled SLP to support students at the elementary level, with a need arising due to a recent scheduling change with our previous provider. In this role, you’ll empower young learners to enhance their communication skills and reach their full academic potential in a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Pennsylvania SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience providing therapy in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct in-depth assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to integrate communication goals across learning activities
- Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages every student’s growth and participation
Assignment Details:
- Contract position for the 2024-2025 school year
- First teacher day: August 24; first student day: August 31
- Regular schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:20am–3:45pm
- Serve as a key resource in a dynamic elementary school community
