This assignment provides broad experience, with openings available across all grade levels—elementary, middle, and high school—for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll join a collaborative environment focused on supporting student communication and educational outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
  • Proven experience working in school settings as an SLP preferred
  • Ability to support diverse age groups, from elementary to high school
  • Willingness and ability to complete the Virginia Dept. of Social Services background check promptly, along with TB testing
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct speech and language services in-person for 185 school days (August 2026 to May 2027)
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary school teams, families, and caregivers to optimize student progress
  • Document evaluations, student progress, and session notes according to district and legal guidelines
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and consult with school staff as needed
