School Speech Language Pathologist - Dumfries, VA

This contract position starts August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to support students across all grade levels. Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
• Experience working in school settings is highly valued
• Comfortable supporting students from elementary through high school
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies to suit diverse student needs
• Commitment to starting all credentialing steps promptly (including VA Dept. of Social Services screening and TB testing)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to a vibrant school community across one or more campuses
• Evaluate student communication strengths and needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation of progress and session notes
• Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and district staff
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, team, and staff meetings as required
• Provide expert recommendations for classroom and instructional modifications
