Step into a rewarding school-based contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working on a flexible hybrid schedule near the Washington DC area. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide assessments, and offer evidence-based therapy across varying age groups in educational settings. Each week, you’ll spend three days working in schools and two days from home, participating in meetings and conducting virtual therapy sessions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Ability to start credentialing process immediately, including a VA Department of Social Services check and TB test
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language assessments and interventions to students as assigned
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
- Document progress and maintain accurate case records in compliance with district and state regulations
- Utilize technology and teletherapy platforms to provide services remotely when scheduled
- Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP consultations, and ongoing professional development
