School Speech Language Pathologist - Dumfries, Virginia

What We're Looking For:

• Active Virginia SLP license
• Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting, preferably with elementary age children
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while collaborating with teachers and staff
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Flexibility to provide services at either Widewater or Winding Creek Elementary (final site to be confirmed)
• Willingness to undergo a TB test and participate in a district-specific on-site background check with HR

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language services to elementary students
• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop effective treatment plans
• Maintain thorough, accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
• Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
• Adhere to district policies and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment

What to Expect: This is a contract position beginning as soon as possible through late May 2027, with a part-time schedule of approximately 18.75 hours per week (.5 FTE). You’ll work directly on campus, contributing to a collaborative school community and supporting the growth of young learners.
