Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Speech-Language Pathologist, working with K-12 students for the full academic year. This position offers the chance to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive educational setting. Located near Dunkirk, NY, you’ll provide 40 engaging, 30-minute sessions weekly during the school year, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, spanning from September 8, 2026, to June 24, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting working with K-12 students is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans targeting students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Conduct 40 therapy sessions per week (30 minutes each)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and support academic success
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by the school and district policies
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in the creation and updating of student goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student growth and confidence
