This role focuses on providing specialized speech-language services two days per week, working with a caseload that requires targeted assistance in language development, social skills, and job-related communication. All services are delivered onsite, fostering direct relationships with students and staff.
Key Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Nebraska state Speech-Language Pathology license
- Eligible for or holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience with school-age and pediatric populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of language disorders, social pragmatics, and vocational communication
- Commitment to supporting inclusive education in a high school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions for high school students
- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for language, social, and job communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to develop IEP goals and measure progress
- Maintain complete documentation and adhere to educational and legal requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise in communication disorders
