Step into a rewarding opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year, working onsite with students near Eagle River, AK. This contract role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with CCC or SLPAs passionate about supporting elementary-aged learners. You'll be part of a committed team dedicated to facilitating communication growth and empowering students in a dynamic educational environment.

This full-time position covers approximately 40 hours per week (8.5-hour days with a .5-hour unpaid lunch) from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You will manage a caseload of around 47 students across two schools, delivering essential speech and language services – strictly onsite, as teletherapy/VOCO is not an option.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current AK certification and licensure for SLP or SLPA (required)
  • Active ASHA CCC (for SLPs)
  • Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
  • Skilled in assessment, planning, and implementing evidence-based interventions
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
  • Professional, flexible, and organized

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and direct therapy to students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
