Make a meaningful impact this school year serving K-8th grade students by bringing your expertise as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist to a vibrant educational environment. This contract opportunity offers a balanced caseload comprising primarily of K-5th grade students with mild speech needs, and a few moderate cases. Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule—approximately 20-25 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Additional time is thoughtfully built into your day for planning and collaboration.
From August 2 through May 28, you’ll provide targeted speech therapy, conduct speech evaluations, and participate in IEP meetings, contributing directly to the educational growth and success of your students.
Desired qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) certification in South Carolina
- Recent experience working in a school-based setting with K-8th grade populations
- Proficiency in performing speech/language evaluations and writing IEPs
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for fostering student success and collaborating with educators and families
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to a caseload of 25-30 students
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student goals
- Conduct speech evaluations and maintain all required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Utilize built-in planning time to develop interventions and ensure high-quality service
